Scented. Perfumed. Mineral. Serious nose with real depth, some sweetness and a really intense, lovely edge of acidity and texture. Impressively sweet though perhaps very slightly lacking in acidity for greatness. (JR)

Highly nuanced nose combines peach, spicy oak, ginger, quinine, smoked meat and sulfides. Rich, round and generous, with lovely acidity and a trace of hard-edged stoniness. The smoked meat note carries through on the palate. At once powerful and elegant; a Puligny-like style of Chassagne.
