Good medium red. Reduced aromas of blackberry syrup and smoke. Dense, rich, ripe and concentrated; at once thick and sappy, with savory dark berry flavors complicated by a hint of milk chocolate and saline minerality. Finishes tactile and long, but still a bit reduced. I'd wait until 2018.

Good saturated red. Very reduced aromas of black fruits, licorice and stone. Sweet, deep and lush, with good fat for the year. Chocolate and mineral notes carry through to the broad, persistent finish, which features serious but suave tannins. Hard to assess today owing to the element of reduction but there's very good material here.
