Rich undertow – almost Sémillon-like weight – and a herbal topnote reminiscent of bergamot. Pretty reductive overall but that alcohol keeps it rich and succulent. Lovely combination of ripeness, succulence and freshness. Very long. (JR)

All Chardonnay. Very pale. Very tight and some richness underneath with smoky tension and a little bit honey. He reckons he picked a little late. But it’s lots of fun. If not very persistent. (JR)

Going through MLF, some in cement eggs (for the whites since 2005). Nomblot sell these cement eggs. Biodynamics like them because of the shape. They can ferment in them but they have decided that oak fermentation serves a purpose, and the eggs are used for prolonging élevage. Kept on lees without oak contact. Lovely out of cask and lively and rich and very delicate. Beautiful balance and texture. Very long. (JR)
