The 2021 Pinot Noir Octagon is a similar ruby/magenta color and comes from the hilltop vines around The Octagon, an eight-sided house Tom Dehlinger built in the 1970s. It has a wild perfume that’s hard to describe, it’s so unique, with notes of wild purple flowers, wet stones, brushy fresh herbs, and fresh red berries. Medium-bodied, it has a more linear vertical feel on the palate, with an even spine of acidity, fine tannins, a hint of blood orange, and a mouthwatering finish. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Octagon is a potent, savory wine. Dark and brooding, with notable intensity, the 2021 shows off the more somber side of the vintage to great effect. There's a bit more new oak influence here, and that comes through in the wine's textural feel and overall balance. The Octagon is a blend of Pommard and Mount Eden clones.
