It's a powerful, dense wine driven by strong savory notes, dark-toned fruit, mocha and leather. Floral overtones lift the mid-palate and finish. This is an especially savory style that suggests full physiological ripeness was hard to come by.

From one of my favorite terroirs in the valley, the saturated purple-colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder (76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot) is a violet-tinged, blueberry, sage brush, charcoal, and menthol scented 2015 that offers full-bodied richness, a notable minerality, good mid-palate density and a beautiful finish. Closed, backward, yet impressively concentrated on the palate, it's a beautiful wine that needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years, and it should keep for two decades.
The deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder, blended of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot, has a baked berries, stewed plums and dusty soil core with hints of dried Provence herbs, charcoal and scorched earth. Full-bodied, firm, chewy and earthy in the mouth with uncomplicated, restrained flavors, it has a drying finish.
