Good medium red. Musky dark cherry, earth and spices on the nose, along with a minty nuance. Broad and chewy in the mouth, with dark plum, smoke and rooty underbrush flavors offering modest sweetness. Finishes with plenty of dusty tannins. Offers good density but could use more verve.

2006 was a challenging year for Carneros-grown Pinot Noir. The finest of this trio is the outstanding 2006 Pinot Noir Temblor. A noteworthy achievement in this tough vintage, it exhibits a deep ruby color as well as aromas of cinnamon, allspice, pomegranate, and black cherries. Broad and savory with an excellent texture and a long finish, it should be drunk over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (707) 257-5300; Fax (707) 257-6022
