Score 93/100 · Drink 2021-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Aug 2021

The 2016 Liandra Syrah comes across as just slightly less rich and concentrated than the other single-vineyard Syrahs this vintage. On the nose, it dials up hints of hickory-smoked bacon, purple raspberries and menthol, while the medium to full-bodied palate is supple and fluid, flowing into a silky, lingering finish.

Lots of cassis and jammy blackberry fruits as well as eucalyptus, flowers, white pepper, and bacon fat emerge from the 2016 Syrah Liandra Vineyard, another seamless, gorgeously pure Syrah from this team. I love its purity of fruit. It's medium to full-bodied and has a solid sense of freshness, silky tannins, and a great finish.
