Score 90/100 · Drink 2007-2010, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Feb 2007

The intriguing 2005 Berroia is composed of 90% Hondarrabi Zuri (indigenous to this D.O.), 6% Folle Blanche, and 4% Riesling. Light straw-colored, it offers an expressive perfume of slate and other minerals, melon, and floral elements. Medium-bodied, the wine is crisp and very concentrated with a long, refreshing finish. It is the perfect match for Spain’s amazing array of seafoods. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Importer: Patrick Mata, Ole Imports, New Rochelle, NY; tel. (914) 576-6120

Bright straw color. Brisk, stony scents of green apple, pear, minerals and ginger. Tangy and clean, with a light spritz adding refreshment and nerve to the racy apple flavor. Gains weight on the finish, taking on a peachy quality but retaining nerve and spice. Drink up.
