The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beautiful Generation is nicely centered and balanced, with plenty of Stags Leap character. Inky blue and black fruit, smoke, tobacco, licorice, incense and mocha inform this dark, voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. Firm tannins support the explosive finish, adding a nice counter to some of the more overt elements. Here, too, the new oak is really pushed to the max, but the wine can handle it. (AG)

It boasts an opaque color along with loads of blackberry and cassis fruit intertwined with charcoal, baking spice and graphite notes. Full-bodied and opulent, this is a terrific cuvée to drink over the next 15+ years.
