The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (14.6% alcohol) is a relatively pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon and exhibits the classic licorice, creme de cassis, spice box and subtle background oak. The wine is youthful, with a dense purple color, fresh, lively flavors, and a supple and opulent mouthfeel and texture. Closing in on full maturity, this is a seductive Cabernet Sauvignon, and a rather classic expression as well. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
