Made from 100% Syrah aged 18 months in neutral oak, the 2017 Syrah Williamson-Doré Vineyard gives up a vivid purple/plum color as well as a juicy bouquet of plum and black cherry fruits, spiced meats, ground pepper, and violets. Incredibly floral (especially with time in the glass), this medium to full-bodied Syrah has ripe, sweet tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish. It's a classic, cool-climate Syrah from California that will evolve nicely for a decade.

Wild and potent in the glass, the 2017 Syrah Williamson-Doré Vineyard is another wine from Foxen that just oozes with personality. Today, the 2017 shows some slightly rough edges that need time to settle down, along the natural richness of the warmer site. There is plenty to look forward to, that much is obvious.
