Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2031, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2020

The 2016 Napa Valley Red Wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench and 33% Merlot from Sugarloaf Mountain. Rich, dark and voluptuous, the 2016 packs a serious punch. Copious black cherry, mocha, licorice, cloves and sweet oak are pushed forward in this voluptuous, flamboyant red. Drink it over the next decade.

Score 91/100 · Drink 2019-2031, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, the 2016 Napa Valley Red Wine is deep garnet-purple colored with lovely notes of baked blackcurrants, stewed plums and blackberry tart with hints of dried herbs, wild sage and tilled earth plus a waft of black olives. The palate is full-bodied and firm with great freshness and an herbal lift to finish.
