Minty herbs and white smoke give way to dusty red currants and hints of cedar as the 2018 Holy Roller evolves in the glass. This wine is a total pleasure on the palate, round and cool-toned with fresh acidity and lifted wild berry fruits. Tactile mineral tones mingle with a pleasantly bitter tinge of dark chocolate. It tapers off with a mentholated freshness, still youthfully compressed as fine-grained tannins frame its dramatically long finish. Be patient with this gentle giant.

Blackberry, cherrystone, chocolate-orange, walnut, dried-lavender and cedar aromas. It’s full-bodied with ripe, creamy tannins and a velvety texture. Plush and polished with praline and cedar notes on the finish. Fine at the end. Drink or hold.
