Score 92/100 · Drink 2021-2025, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Jul 2021

Pale gold in color, the 2019 Viognier In The Rocks Vineyard explodes out of the glass with classic Viognier notes of peach blossom, cereal grain, baked quince and apple essence before overflowing with a seductive floral bouquet from the nose. Medium-bodied and with 13.4% alcohol, the palate is fine and delineated, with incredible balance, fantastic complexity and layers of finesse with a kiss of phenolic bitterness. The wine concludes with a long, winding finish that will make for the perfect aperitif and go great with food. The wine spent a year in 30% new barrel before bottling. Only 960 bottles were filled.

Beautiful notes of grilled peach, brioche, apricot, and honeyed flowers comprise the 2019 Viognier In The Rocks. Another rich, almost full-bodied white from Matt Reynvaan, it has a seamless, viscous texture, good concentration, and yet a still light, clean, fresh finish. I love it.
