Assembled from the several properties in the Vida Valiente lineup, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon The Movement comes across as quite high-toned, with hints of red raspberries accenting cedar and black cherries. It's full-bodied and tannic but not as rich or supple as most of the single-vineyard designates—perhaps that will lead to more potential longevity? Finishing long and almost crisp, it certainly seems like a wine with 20-plus years of cellaring potential. One hundred dollars from the sale of each bottle goes to the Vida Valiente Foundation, which supports first-generation immigrants attending Stanford University.

Lastly, the 2021 Vida Valiente The Movement is a blend from the single vineyards, and $100 of every bottle sold goes to a foundation that helps kids get into college. Rocking currant and cassis fruits as well as spicy herbs, tobacco, and hints of chocolate all define the bouquet, and it's full-bodied on the palate, with fine tannins, wonderful overall balance, and a great finish.
