Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006

(from the favored lieu-dit Les Treux; 14% natural alcohol) Good full, deep red. Superripe, almost confectionery aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and cherry. A creamy, seamless fruit bomb on the palate, noteworthy more for its roundness and richness of texture than for its complexity. Finishes quite long, with fine-grained tannins. Laurent says these vines were a selection massale of the Jayer family.
