The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Mountain is more focused and tannic, which is certainly expected. Red and black fruits, freshly sharpened cedar pencils, graphite, and tobacco notes all define this richly textured, medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which has building tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. It needs 3-4 years in the cellar but will be long lived. The 2021 is 97% Cabernet, 3 % Cabernet Franc, aged 20 months in 90% new French oak.

Classic Red Mountain dust greets you as you delve into the glass of the 2021 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet unfolds with a generous notion of blackberry skin and dark plum, offering a symphony of flavors with plenty of supporting oak spices that waft with the delicate notes of resinous purple flowers. The palate is full-bodied, ripe and dusty with a firm sophistication of gripping tannins that take center stage, promising to mellow with time, ensuring the wine remains food friendly for about two decades. The wine aged for 21 months in 90% new French oak. It's still tight, so give it another couple of years in the bottle before opening. Decanting is recommended. Only 330 cases of this robust and classic expression of Red Mountain Cabernet were made.
