The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley (100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 44% new French oak) has a terrific bouquet of blue fruits, tobacco leaf, damp earth, and spring flowers. It's a classic Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla that has excellent purity of fruit, a medium to full-bodied, rounded texture, and rock-solid balance. It's well worth drinking and will keep for 10-15 years.

Aromas of tar and dark berries with hints of flower and tar. Full body, silky tannins and a flavorful finish. A juicy and soft wine. Fresh and tight. Drink or hold.
(15% alcohol): Bright red-ruby. Aromas of currant, herbs, licorice, menthol and bitter chocolate overlaid by strong spicy oak. Supple and fairly fine-grained, with cool herb, ripe beefsteak tomato, dark raspberry and currant flavors suggesting a wide range of ripeness. Started out a bit youthfully disjointed but gained in pliancy in the glass. Finishes with a firm tannic spine that calls for a couple years of patience. I wanted a bit more fruit sweetness but that may yet come with bottle age.
The 2014 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet) offers classic black fruits (currants, plums), graphite and licorice aromatics, medium to full bodied, a rounded, nicely concentrated palate and a great finish. It's a classic Columbia Valley Cabernet to enjoy anytime over the coming decade or more.
