The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna Nera plays out the vintage characteristics with textbook precision. In appearance, it shows a dark ruby and garnet color. Maturing mid ruby with bright bricky tinges. A nose that is a tiny bit candied and candied cherry fruit on the palate too. Accessible and round with lots of sweet oak notes on the finish. Completely ready now. (WS) (JR)
