2006 Costers del Siurana Dolc' de L'Obac

(for 500 ml.) Bright purple. Heady aromas of boysenberry and blueberry liqueur, fruitcake, macerated plum and minerals. Thick, chewy and very sweet but the rich dark berry flavors are leavened by a zesty mineral quality. Fat, juicy and broad, with strong finishing thrust and lingering sweet and spicy notes. I'd serve this by itself, or perhaps with blue cheeses.
