Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2026, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2020

The 2016 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley has a pale to medium ruby color and spicy notes of cinnamon, tree bark, dried cranberries, burnt orange peel and woodsmoke with a core of red and black berry fruit. The medium-bodied palate is elegant and nuanced with spicy character and a grainy, fresh frame, continuing to blossom on the long, detailed finish.

Pale garnet colour. Sweet start but quite pretty and floral. Just not too sweet with some fine tannin and – just – sufficient acidity. But I suspect it would have been more appetising last year. Why do they release these wines so late? (JR)

A floral pinot with rose water, fresh herbs and cranberries. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh, driven finish. Drink now.
