1984 Fretter Wine Cabernet Sauvignon Leaky Lake

Last Tasted 11/93 One of the superstars of the vintage, this producer (1984 was the last vintage produced under this label) fashioned one of the more youthful, concentrated wines of the vintage. Still backward, with an impressive saturated purple color, Fretter's Cabernet exhibits a wonderfully pure, mineral, licorice, violet, and cassis-scented nose, full-bodied, marvelously concentrated flavors, good integrated acidity, moderate tannin, and a superb finish. A classic example of ripe, rich Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, it will age for another 10-15 years. Superb!
