The Grenache-dominated 2021 WCS Jack John sports a semi-opaque ruby hue to go with a gorgeous bouquet of black raspberries, spiced cherries, loamy earth, and peppery herbs. Balanced, medium to full-bodied, and seamless on the palate, it has nicely integrated tannins and a great finish. I love it. Joshua Harp’s Jada Vineyard, with help from Napa’s Tony Biagi, has leapt into the top handful of producers in Paso Robles over the last few years and these 2021s might be the best yet.

Still in barrel, the 2021 WCS Grenache, blended with 10% Graciano, has youthful aromas of blueberries, red cherry candy, watermelon and floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate is chalky and fresh with touches of aniseed and potpourri on the long finish. It's shaping up to be a very drinkable Grenache.
