A blend of fruit from Stags Leap and Diamond Mountain, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is moderately concentrated, marrying red fruit (ripe cherries) with notions of dusty earth and dried herbs. It's medium to full-bodied, fluid and silky in texture, fine and elegant on the finish. Showing ample length, it doesn't fall away on the finish, instead unfurling to reveal some soft, dusty tannins.

The appellation 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is well worth your time and money. Blended with a splash of Petit Verdot, it has a terrific array of red, blue, and black fruits intermixed with notions of graphite, spring flowers, and an undeniable sense of minerality. It's balanced, has remarkable purity, fine tannins, and outstanding length. It's already delicious and impossible to resist, and I see no need to delay gratification, although I have no doubt it has over a decade of prime drinking in it.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) from Annulus is packed with dark-toned fruit, spice, mocha and new leather. It offers terrific density and plenty of palate presence. If anything, the Napa Valley Cabernet is the overachiever in this range, as its quality is not too far off from the vineyard designates. Vineyard sources are Bench, Reverie and Vine Hill Ranch.
