From another great vintage for the northern part of the Northern Rhône, the 2020 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah Valine brings a touch more flesh and opulence compared to the more focused, structured 2019. Black raspberries, candied violets, wild strawberries, and gamey, peppery notes all emerge on the nose, and it's medium-bodied, with good freshness, light tannins, and a clean, classy finish. It's well worth checking out and ideal for drinking over the coming 4-5 years.

The 2020 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Valine Syrah is a plump, easy-drinking effort, filled with juicy, lip-smacking cherries and touched with hints of dried spices. Medium to full-bodied, it's supple and charming, a fun wine to quaff down in its youth.
