The brassy-hued, full-bodied 2019 Saint-Joseph Les Granits Blanc is 100% Marsanne, barrel fermented and matured. Ripe and opulent, with notes of honeyed citrus, toasted grain, pineapple and melon, it's silky-textured and long on the finish. This is surely one of the stars of the appellation, with perhaps a decade of longevity ahead of it.

Orange marmalade, quince, salty minerality, white flowers, celery seed, and a touch of spice all emerge from the 2019 Saint Joseph Les Granits Blanc, which comes from one of the top terroirs in the appellation. Playing in the more full-bodied end of the spectrum, this incredible Saint-Joseph Blanc has a rounded, layered texture, a terrific sense of freshness and purity, classic Marsanne structure, and a great finish. It's certainly in the same realm as the 2018 and I'll be a buyer.
