Made in a richer, riper style, the 2015 Saumur Blanc Arcane boasts lots or rock/stony notes as well as more apple and orchard fruit, medium-bodied richness, bright acidity and a good finish. It’s a singular expression of Chenin Blanc that should keep for 4-5 years, if not longer.

Château Fosse-Sèche's white 2015 Saumur Arcane is not really crystalline-clear on the nose, but offers a Riesling-like bouquet with mineral, floral and yeasty flavors framing the elegant, ripe and well-concentrated fruit. Very pure, fresh and very elegant on the palate, with an excellent structure and lingering salinity, this is a medium-bodied, precise and very delicate Chenin Blanc from 5- to 16-year-old vines on a pebbly, chalk-free soil on a Jurassic plateau in Brossy. It's already a great drinking pleasure, but can be aged for 10-15, maybe even more years.
