Another mountain Cabernet release from this team, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is flat-out gorgeous in every way, offering a complex array of ripe plums, currants, thyme, rosemary, and iron-like aromas and flavors. With medium to full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, and building tannins, it has some accessibility today (as do most 2019s) but will ideally be given 4-5 years of bottle age. It’s going to keep for at least two decades in cold cellars.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder blends fruit from the leased Beller Vineyard with another source to yield a floral but dark-fruited Cab loaded with cassis and plum, accented by cedar and vanilla. Full-bodied and supple, it finishes long and velvety, with hints of dark chocolate and a bit of alcoholic warmth.
