Score 90/100 · Drink 2020-2023, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2020

The 2018 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard Origin, fermented in concrete and made without malolactic fermentation, has a bright, open-knit nose of fresh quince, yellow apples and citrus blossoms with a honey-nut undercurrent. The palate is medium-bodied and uplifted with fresh, pleasantly yeasty fruit character and a long, energetic finish.

Lastly, the 2018 Chardonnay Origin comes all from the Durell Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. Bright, almost racy notes of lemon drops, white flowers, crushed citrus, and hints of honeyed minerality all emerge from this beauty. It's a juicier, more vibrant Chardonnay that still has good concentration, terrific balance, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years as well.
