The 2018 Temperance Hill Pinot Noir, medium ruby in color, has intense, broody aromas of cranberry sauce and dark cherries, earth and pipe tobacco with a frame of dark spices. The medium-bodied palate manages intensity in a featherweight frame, finishing long, layered and spiced.

Limpid ruby-red. Ripe, spice-tinged red fruits, incense and a hint of candied rose on the assertively perfumed nose, along with a vibrant mineral quality. Silky and precise on the palate, offering alluringly sweet cherry and raspberry liqueur flavors and an exotic suggestion of five-spice powder. Becomes deeper with air, with no loss of energy. Finishes extremely long, with powerful mineral thrust, fine-grained tannins and a resonating floral pastille note. 40% new oak.
