A blend of 34% Merlot and 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2024 De Malleret unfurls in the glass with aromas of cassis, mulberries and flowers, followed by a moderately weighted, juicy and supple palate, framed by brittle tannins and a fresh, short finish with a firm, oaky aftertaste.

The 2024 Château de Malleret has simple brambly red fruit and neatly integrated oak on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied and a bit soft in texture but it's balanced, with a smooth entry. This just needs to forage more grip by the time of bottling, though it will still require a prudent élevage.

Tobacco, cedar, herbs, and currants are available with a single sniff. Medium-bodied, fruity, forward, and open, you find a touch of herbs, and leaves along with the crisp currants in the finish.
