Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Apr 2025

The 2024 Domaine de Cambes jumps out of the glass, its elegant, fresh bouquet dominated by redcurrant and crushed strawberries. On the palate, the tannins are present yet not overpowering, and quite delicate. There’s great tension here, with a hint of salinity on the long finish. This should be approachable relatively young. Harvested at 35hl/ha, aged in 100% new oak and with 13.5% alcohol.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Pops out of the glass with vibrant notes of black cherries and mulberries, followed by hints of menthol, anise, and wild strawberries. The medium-bodied palate is soft and spicy with just enough freshness and a long peppery finish.

Black raspberries, vanilla, sweet baking spices, and rose petal notes all emerge from the 2024 Domaine De Cambes. Medium-bodied and juicy, I love the overall balance here and it has integrated acidity, beautiful purity, and a great finish.

High floral character, crayon, sage, leafy but with plenty to enjoy. Mitjavile estate.
