Score 92/100 · Drink 2012-2020, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2010

The 2008 Pinot Noir Bella Vida was sourced from a vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA. Dark ruby in color, it proffers a lovely perfume of cedar, underbrush, black cherry, and black raspberry. Spicy on the palate with loads of savory black fruits on a velvety texture, it contains enough fine-grained tannin to evolve for another 2-3 years and has a drinking window extending from 2012 to 2020. Lynn Penner-Ash took full advantage of the outstanding Pinot Noir fruit provided by the 2008 vintage. www.pennerash.com

Bright ruby-red. Fresh and seductively aromatic scents of black raspberry, cherry-cola, pipe tobacco, mocha, graphite and spicecake. Penetrating and sweet, with very good delineation to the red and dark berry and spice flavors. Suavely integrated acidity and an intriguing floral nuance give this wine a light touch. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lovely lift and persistence. Offers compelling complexity and vibrancy, as well as good mid-term aging potential. These are all Dijon clones, according to Penner-Ash.
