Tasting notes
Score 91/100 · Drink 2013-2016, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jun 2009

The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Ugolforte offers up sweet scents of toasted oak, licorice, spices and ripe red cherries. This is a soft, generous wine with lovely balance and an accessible personality, defined by well-integrated tannins and a caressing, long, finish. The Ugolforte doesn't appear to be built for the long haul but it should drink quite nicely over the next few years.
