Medium ruby in color, the 2010 Pinot Noir is a bit closed on the nose revealing hints of dark fruits, mulberries and Christmas cake plus some cedar and earth. The palate offers a good core of evolving black berry characters with a pleasant spiciness, medium level powdery tannins and a medium-long finish.

(a single-site wine from a vineyard in Bendigo): Good medium red. Ripe aromas of black cherry, mocha and chocolate are complicated by an herbal nuance. Sweet and juicy in the mouth, with a dusty, fine-grained texture to the dark cherry, spice and herb flavors. Finishes savory and spicy, with good energy and a repeating herbal quality.
