One of the flagship releases of the estate is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso, which is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot that spent two years in new oak. Crème de cassis, cedarwood, spicy oak, and graphite aromas all flow to a deep, broad, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon that has ripe tannin, a great mid-palate, and a textured, balanced style. It's a beautiful wine that will keep for 15+ years or more.

Judging from these barrel samples, the 2014 and 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso should very well eclipse the outstanding 2013. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso has a beguiling nose of exotic spices and black berry preserves with hints of sandalwood and potpourri. The ripeness of the tannins go a long way in elevating this rich, concentrated multi-layered beauty, with a finish that just goes on and on. One to watch!
