Offering up aromas of rich cocoa, grilled meat, earthy soil, vanillin and sweet red fruits, the 2013 Cote de Brouilly Cuvee Zaccharie Geoffrey is medium to full-bodied, rich and tangy, with a gourmand, generous profile and a subtly oak-inflected finish.

Ruby-red. Sexy, highly perfumed aromas of blackcurrant, cherry compote, potpourri and minerals, with a hint of smokiness coming up slowly. Silky and penetrating in the mouth, offering vibrant, concentrated dark fruit, blood orange and floral pastille flavors that gain sweetness with air. The mineral note comes back strong on the persistent, penetrating finish, which is firmed by fine-grained, harmonious tannins. Extremely elegant Beaujolais, with the concentration and balance to age.
