The medium sweetness is marvelously integrated into the sensations of biting acidity, and thereâs a real viscosity to the surprisingly flowing texture. Stunning purity and intensity in one. The 2018 Goldtröpfchen Spätlese is very clear, crystalline and precise on the bright, flinty, perfectly healthy nose. Picked in late September and early October, this is a generous, lush, piquant and charmingly mouth-filling Spätlese on the palate, and it displays Gewürztraminer flavors with more aeration. Very clear, sweet and intense, this is a well-structured, dense yet precise Goldtöpfchen Spätlese with a very sensual character. Tasted in April 2019.
Super-charming and fine. Well sculpted and clearly going to be a very fine, expressive bottle with that Mittel Mosel harmony. Enough acidity though no excess in this vintage! (JR)
