Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2035, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Mar 2023

Swirls of black cherries, vanilla and dark chocolate mark the nose of the current-release 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. Estate grown in Calistoga and aged in 85% new French oak, it's a rich, full-bodied wine but one that doesn't come across as forcibly extractive or overripe, with easygoing, supple tannins and a long, plush finish. It should drink well for at least a decade, quite possibly longer.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is another stellar wine from Kelly Fleming. In 2019, the Cabernet has an extra kick of energy and vibrancy that distinguishes it from some of the other wines in the range. Inky dark fruit, mocha, grilled herbs, licorice, spice develop with a bit of coaxing. There is a real feeling of energy that gives the 2019 a sense of lift to balance all of its natural richness. I can't wait to taste it from bottle.
