2010 Château Grand Tayac

This blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest mostly Merlot is relatively expensive, no doubt because it’s from the Margaux appellation, but it is a cru bourgeois. It displays loads of dark berry fruit intermixed with some subtle smoke, damp earth and spice box. Medium-bodied and nicely textured, it finishes authoritatively. Drink it over the next 6-8 years.
