2015 Tenuta Le Colonne Bolgheri Superiore

Tenuta le Colonne is an estate I have never visited, but I feel like I have because I spent a good amount of time over by their neighbors during my last trip to Bolgheri. This property and Tenuta Argentiera look onto each other and are absolutely blessed by some of the most magnificent positioning possible along the Tuscan Coast. The vineyard that produces the 2015 Bolgheri Superiore spans from the seashore at five meters above sea level to 150 meters. This is a darkly concentrated wine with rich aromas of blackberry, ripe current, spice and tobacco. This is a structured, firm wine that sits squarely on the palate. Only 6,000 bottles were made.
