Score 88/100 · Drink 2015-2023, Robert Parker, Dec 2015

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard, from their holdings in Rutherford, is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc. Nice, light intensely chocolaty notes are followed by black and red currants, soft tannin, medium body and a whiff of new oak. The wine is straightforward, fleshy and best drunk over the next 7-8 years

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard is beautifully expressive and succulent in the glass, with distinctly red-toned shades of fruit, lifted aromatics and silky tannins, all of which convey an impression of grace and finesse. Supple, open-knit and unctuous, especially for the year, the 2013 will drink well with minimal cellaring. The significant presence of Cabernet Franc works beautifully here. This is the most sensual and polished of the wines.
