Score 89/100 · Drink 2021-2025, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, May 2021

Made from a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Pinotage and 12% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Three Cape Ladies opens with dark, dusty fruit essences of blackberry, cherry and crème de cassis. There is also a persistent undertone of mint and mentho-lyptus. Medium to full-bodied, the wine offers up a dusty herbaceous flavor in the mouth with juicy, tart cherries that give way to firm, gripping tannins before concluding with a tart, tannic edge and lingering notions of menthol and tree bark.
