This is potent, with a concentrated core of ripe red and blue berry fruit offset by stimulating acidity and sour citrus. The 2021 tapers off with gobs of youthful tension, further enhancing its core of grippy tannins, and yet the end note here is freshness. Give the Basalt Block time to fully come together—it will be worth the wait.
