Musky blackberries and cherries mix with sweet tobacco and hints of brown spice as the 2019 Aglianico unfolds in the glass. This is silky and polished, casting ripe red and black fruits across a core of salty minerals, with energizing acidity that keeps the expression fresh and lifted throughout. A saturation of primary concentration lingers along with sweet tannins that frame the experience well. This is a solid effort that displays wonderful balance and punches well above its price point.

Dark soil, savory herbs, and hints of animal musk lift from the 2019 Donnachiara Campania Aglianico, as violet florals and earthy mineral tones amass in the glass. On the palate, soft textures are offset by refreshing acidity, as pure black fruits are further complemented by citrus-tinged spices and savory herbs. The finish is medium in length with hints of youthful tannin tugging at the senses, yet this remains wonderfully fresh, resonating on purple-tinged inner florals.
