Good dark red. Lovely perfumed high tones to the ripe aromas of cherry, spices and sweet oak. Densely packed and juicy, with saline minerality framing and lifting the vibrant flavors of cherry, raspberry and spices. Quite penetrating yet this wine comes across as more open-knit than the Hauts Poirets. Finishes spicy, firm and long, with obvious oakiness (100% new).

(just 25 hectoliters per hectare produced): Bright, deep red-ruby. Tighter on the nose than the Haut Poirets, with black cherry dominating. Juicy and energetic on entry, then imploded but not hard in the middle, conveying a strong sappy quality to its dark cherry and floral flavors. Strong juice here, but this wine will need patience.
