Score 96/100 · Drink 2017-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Sep 2017

The 1993 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières from François Jobard is one of those wines that puts your faith back in mature white Burgundy in this post prem-ox world. It is blessed with a heavenly bouquet with scents of grilled walnut, white flowers, a touch of creme brûlée and lemon curd. The palate is beautifully balanced and as fresh as it must have been when first released. The harmony and focus and the terroir expression are outstanding, fanning out in sophisticated fashion with hazelnut and smoke on the aftertaste. It's about everything you could wish for in a mature Meursault. Tasted June 2017.
