Muffled and funky character. Drinkable with some cedar and leather, but not much really.

The 2015 Château Amour is enjoyable, with lots of herbal/earthy/cedary notes as well as medium-bodied richness and a firm, tight feel on the palate. It’s meant to be drunk in its first 5-7 years.

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Amour is very simple on the nose and needs more personality. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, easy-drinking with a rather easy-going and uninteresting finish. Tasted September 2017.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. Ripe black cherry fruit, lots of sweet spices on top. Cassis and bramble, with fine chalky tannin and a good dose of mouth-watering acidity. Medium-bodied and smooth, with lots of easy charm for drinking now. (RH)
