Good red-ruby. Reticent but pure aromas of black fruits, licorice, mocha and underbrush. Juicy and tightly wound, with very good del ineation and energy in the mouth. But a bit youthfully muscular today, and tougher on the finish than the Beaux-Monts. I'd hold this for at least four or five years.

Bright ruby-red. Blackberry, licorice, minerals and mint on the high-pitched nose. Rich, sweet and minerally, with blackberry and spice flavors. A deep, serious premier cru, with substantial but ripe tannins and a late hint of chocolate. Very Nuits-Saint-Georges in style, especially for a wine that in previous vintages tended to be distinctly Vosne-like. For her part, Forrestier likes this wine but says “it’s not me.”
