Shimmering ruby-red. Powerful, spice-tinged red berry preserve, cherry and floral pastille scents are complemented by suggestions of vanilla and succulent flowers. Rich and seamless in the mouth, offering sappy, mineral-accented black raspberry, cherry liqueur and fruitcake flavors that become livelier through the back half. Finishes impressively long and subtly sweet, with harmonious tannins building steadily and adding grip to lingering cherry and floral notes.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard, aged 10 months in 61% new French oak, has lovely scents of cranberries, strawberries and blueberries with touches of bergamot and violet. The medium-bodied palate explodes with concentrated, juicy, perfumed fruits, silky in texture and finishing long and lifted. 333 cases produced.

Violets, a touch of blue fruits, wild strawberries, toasted spices, and a hint of herbes de Provence all emerge from the 2018 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard, another seamless wine that does everything right. Showing the elegance and purity that's the hallmark of the 2018 vintage, it still has ripe tannins, good mid-palate depth, and a great finish. The 2018 comes all from the 667 and Pisoni clones and was brought up in 61% new French oak, although, like all these 2018s, the oak is basically undetectable.
